The King's Speech

Interesting weekend. . .
GREAT Movie!!!

If you have not seen "The King's Speech," do so as soon as possible. It is both funny and uplifting. I suspect that it will win an Oscar or two when the time comes.

Rio Mesa beats Hueneme
in Pacific View League opener

The Spartans, in white at home, cruised to a very easy win on Friday night with the last quarter being played with a running clock. I can't recall ever seeing that before in a Varsity high school game.

Awesome VW van

Stopped at Bob's Big Boy in Burbank on the way home from my Mom's house. They had a fun car show going on in the paerking lot.

I continue to try to simplify my life as I go through books, drawers and boxes of things I have collected over the years. I found a couple of bags full of receipts and ticket stubs from my two years coaching/living in Catania, Sicily and traipsing throughout Europe in 2008 and 2009.

Some of the memories I revisited with a smile. . .
