Spring Saturday

SWISS FACT-OF-THE-DAY

The city of Basel, located at a point where the Rhine River becomes navigable, is Switzerlands only port. Basel is a major center of commerce and industry, specializing in pharmaceuticals.

I will be in Basel tomorrow scouting the Swiss Football League's 2012 opening game between the Luzern Lions and the Basel Meanmachine. We will play these two teams in our first two games of the season after having a BYE this weekend.

We enjoyed another spirited practice this morning indoors with our Senior team. We accomplished quite a lot today and now have only two more practice, thankfully both outdoors, before our season opener on April 1st at home against Basel.

All the signs of spring are in the air
